European Cooperation in the field of Scientific and Technical Research (EU COST) Action C22 Urban Flood Management)

The main objective of the EU Cost Action was to increase the knowledge required for preventing and mitigating potential flood impacts to urban areas. This action is based on a multi- and interdisciplinary approach and brought together scientists involved in water management, hydrology, urban planning and design, civil engineering, social sciences, construction engineering, ecology, and so on. This action included applied and pragmatic research methodologies. The project allowed for experiences to be exchanged, integrated approaches to be developed and promoted best practice in Urban Flood Management.
